Sharing my thoughts makes me a little more human

and a little less like I stayed up all night working on a design

I was scrolling through some of the pictures I took while in Charleston, SC and came across one that made me really want to go back. There’s even a cute little lighthouse!

So we finally got some decent snow yesterday and my roommates and I thought it would be a grand idea to build a 7 foot snowman in the back yard. It was perfect for packing, and quickly turned into a solid block of ice… I’d say after all was said and done the thing probably weighed close to 700 lbs.

Well, when I woke up this morning and went outside to catch the bus he was sitting in front of the back door. How someone managed to move it that far is beyond me, but props to them. I got some sweet pictures of him in the afternoon sun (he’s starting to melt!)

Behold: one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever done for class. It’s supposed to be some sort of “leave behind” that I would give to a potential employer. My concept behind this was just to get a laugh out of someone. It took about 3 hours to make and umm, probably wouldn’t be making one ever again. Oh and yea, that’s comic sans, bia.

I found this video on smashingmag, and had to laugh a little.  It’s interesting, ever since I became a graphic design major at Tech there’s been an understanding amongst all of us that comic sans is sick.  Bad sick.  I never really questioned it, just sort of seemed like the right thing to agree with.  But isn’t it really the designer, or non designer, that makes comic sans so awful by using it in the wrong places?
