So it’s about time that I post what we’ve been working on in typography. Oddly enough, it has little to do with typography and more to do with iconography. Two classes from different parts of the world are supposed to correspond with each other through visual imagery. Each side has about 3-5 days to respond to the other. Our counterparts happen to be from Germany, and I believe they were the ones who decided on the list of topics we had to chose from. Once you pick a topic, you have to stick with it… although I’ve seen a few classmates get pretty far off track after being offended in some way.

After introducing the project to the class Ben let everyone choose which topic they wanted to work on, basically on a first-come-first-serve basis. I happened to be attempting to break into the AIGA room at that time however, because Jessica accidentally locked my backpack (and therefore laptop and life) in it earlier that day. Needless to say I wasn’t able to get in the room and I ended up getting last pick of my topic. It was between Politics, The Gun Debate, and Big is Beautiful. At first I picked Big is Beautiful, but then I changed my mind on a whim and picked The Gun Debate at the last second.

Enough talking, here’s the first round: (germany: RED me: BLUE)
